One night when  Simon and I started  seeing each other we  decided to go roller skating, we went to the place next  to the showcase cinema which is now Tenpin Bowling. 
We skated for a while, I remember how funny it was watching Simon trying to keep upright, all 6ft 7” of him!
After skating for a while we decided to go upstairs to have a drink and play a game of pool whilst still wearing our roller skates, all was ok although a bit difficult playing pool in roller skates.
After we finished our drinks we decided to go back downstairs to have another skate , well there were quite a lot of stairs , probably about 30, I went first, walking down sideways one step at a time, holding onto the bannister when  all of a sudden Simon went flying past me, arms and legs going in all directions whilst trying his best to stay upright! Even though it happened so fast it seemed to be happening in slow motion, finally he landed        spreadeagled at the feet of a security guard, I’ve never laughed so much and it was one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen!
He was fine by the way although his ego took a bit of a bruising!
